Certain caps sold with CamelBak Podium and CamelBak Peak Fitness series water bottles

Product description

This recall involves certain caps sold with CamelBak's Podium and CamelBak's Peak Fitness series water bottles in any colour scheme as well as water bottles with the removal top bottle cap sold as a set with CamelBak Flash Belt, Flow Belt and Quick Grip. The codes of the affected caps are as follows:

  • H19039
  • H19175
  • H19063

The codes are located on the underside of the bottle cap.

Hazard identified

The silicone valve seal may come loose during normal use, posing a choking hazard.

As of May 2, 2021, the company has received 1 report in which the silicone valve in the cap comes loose during use with no injuries reported in Canada. In the United States, the company has received no reports of the cap becoming loose. No reported injuries have been reported.

Number sold

Approximately 13,176 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 45,684 were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold in Canada from April 2019 to February 2021.

What you should do

Consumers with any of the affected bottle caps with the affected date codes should contact Outdoor Gear Canada for a replacement cap by providing their contact information and photo of the affected data cap. The consumer should then destroy and dispose of the affected cap.
